1. Odlewnie Polskie S.A. (Polish Foundries, PLC)

The Company deals in the production of iron casts with a predominant role of spheroid cast iron. It also runs service and trade connected with the production and sells casting materials and produce. The company offers full customer service, ranging from designs to delivering goods, including:

  • designing the product together with the customer;
  • producing casting instruments;
  • the production and complete quality control of the casting;
  • mechanical, heat and heat-chemical processing;
  • the assembly of the casting sub-groups;
  • painting of the cast parts;
  • packaging and delivery.

The Company employs around 300 people. In the years 2005-2012 the Company spent 20 million euro on carrying out the program of a complete modernization of the Foundry connected with the mechanization and automation of the production processes. The Company is currently one of the most modern foundries and holds a leading position in the production of castings out of spheroid cast iron in the country.

2. Politechnika Rzeszowska im. Ignacego Łukasiewicza (The Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów Technical University) – the Department of Founding and Welding

The Rzeszów Technical University educates and conducts research in the field of technical studies. It develops its curricula in collaboration with industry, thus preparing its graduates for an efficient professional career. The Department of Founding and Welding has been in existence since 1998. The faculty at the Department conduct classes in the fields of founding, welding, heat processing, non-destructive testing, available to students of all fields of study. The Department faculty, in collaboration with industry, also carry out research-and-development work, as well as implementation activities. The Rzeszów Technical University’s Department of Founding and Welding has opened laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art research apparatus purchased with European Union subsidies. These will serve as the Educational Center for Casting Crews as required by the KOM-CAST Cluster. The Department faculty work systematically on their academic achievements, carrying out research within academic work and statutory activity, and they also perform work commissioned by the Scientific Research Committee and industrial plants.

3. Zakład Metalurgiczny WSK Rzeszów Sp. z o. o. (The Metallurgical Plant “WSK Rzeszów”, PLC)

The Company runs three business units: an iron foundry, an aluminum foundry, and a department for heat processing and tool production. The Company is also in possession of its own casting laboratory and construction office. The iron casts are delivered to companies in the sectors of agriculture, heavy rail industry, as well as underground water systems and air-conditioning devices. The cast iron foundry produces mechanically formed castings (5-350 kg) and manually formed ones (150-3000 kg) from gray modified cast iron in the classes of 200 to 350, spheroid cast iron in the types of GGGro, GGG50, GGG60 and a specials high-quality, low-alloy cast iron. The aluminum foundry produces castings for the automotive industry, the power industry, and the aviation industry. The castings are made from such alloys as AISi11, AISi7Mg and others, as well as special airway magnesium alloys. The department of mechanical processing performs such operations as: lathing, drilling, cutting, drawing, and other auxiliary operations. The Company produces forms and core boxes for both foundries, both in metal and out of epoxides or wood for manual moulding plants. The Company has at its disposal a laboratory equipped with apparatus for checking the chemical composition and technical and quality parameters of moulding and core sands, for running non-destructive testing, conducting strength tests, and performing macro- and micro-research of the texture of the materials. Maintaining a high quality level of the produce is guaranteed by the Company’s Quality Management System, which complies with the ISO 9001:2008 norm and the third edition ISO/TS 16949 technical specification.

4. Hüttenes-Albertus Polska Sp z o.o. (Hüttenes-Albertus Poland, Ltd)
Hüttenes-Albertus Poland, Ltd has been present in the Polish market since 1996 as a daughter company of Hüttenes- Albertus GmbH, a world-known German concern dealing in the production of materials for casting. The Company employs 100 people, 70 of them being production workers. Until 2004, the Company conducted solely sales of auxiliary materials for casting. In 2004 Hüttenes-Albertus Poland started its production activity, i.e. the production of resin-coated sands destined for foundries, as well as the production of casting cores in hot-box and cold-box technologies. The Company is in possession of a state-of-the-art machine park, including a line for drying and coating sand and 15 machines for the production of cores. Poland, Belarus, Romania, the Czech Republic and Hungary form the main market for the products. A group of ADVISORS – casting engineers assist in implementing new technologies and systematically optimize technological processes on the basis of Hüttenes-Albertus Poland products. Hüttenes-Albertus Poland conducts on-going research-and-development work with the aim of improving their products. The Company is in possession of a modern laboratory for running tests of the produce, conducting research and performing research/tests commissioned by clients. Hüttenes-Albertus Poland holds the certificates for the Integrated Management System in compliance with PN-EN ISO 9001:2009 and PN-EN ISO 14001:2005, which is constantly being improved, as guaranteed by the high qualifications of our employees, their commitment to work, as well as their pro-ecology and pro-quality awareness.

5. Odlewnia Ciśnieniowa META-ZEL Sp. z o.o. (Die-casting Foundry META-ZEL, Ltd)
Die-casting Foundry META-ZEL, Ltd is a leader in the production of die-castings from aluminum and zinc alloys for the production of household appliances, construction, electronics, electromechanic engineering, and the automotive industry. Over 40 years, the Company has acquired experience and knowledge in the sphere of casting and know-how based on the worked-out technologies and patents. The Company’s offer covers: the production of castings from aluminum and zinc alloys of a weight not exceeding 7.5 kg made on specialist cold-chamber die-casting machines and vertical hot-chamber machines of clenching strength from 80 to 1000 tons; specialist CNC processing performed on horizontal and vertical five-axis processing centers and numerically controlled lathes; laboratory tests and gauging service: X-rays, chemical composure tests for metals, testing the hardness and strength of metals, as well as the callibration of gauging instruments. 6. OP HANDEL Sp. z o.o. (“OP Trade” Ltd)
The scope of the Company’s activity covers the dispatch of materials (mainly imported) for casting production. Delivering the materials, the Company orders castings in the foundries, and then sells them to buyers from various sectors. The Company is in possession of 7500 m2 of storage space, including 1600 m2 of indoor storage space. In order to make full use of its potential, the Company performs additional activities, such as a full service of storing goods and materials under the terms of agreements on deposit storing and consignment contracts. The Company operates on the domestic market and the markets of other countries within the European Union.

7. Firma Produkcyjno-Handlowa PROMEN Ryszard Podkański (Ryszard Podkański, the Production-and-Sales Company PROMEN)
The Company deals in the production of castings fro aluminum and zinc alloys. The Company employs two casting technologies, i.e. gravitation casting into dies and pressure casting, with the use of casting form machines. The preparation of liquid metal is performed in electric, resistance-heated crucible furnaces, with various capacities of the crucible. PROMEN offers a complete service of starting casting production for the client through selecting technologies, preparing technical documentation and creating the moulds. PROMEN’s main product are castings for fittings for electricity insulators of low, medium, and high voltage. The Company boasts a number of innovative solutions well-appraised by clients. The Company runs innovation activity. Among other achievements, they have designed and started the production of castings for hinges of a new construction, serving for doors to saunas and bath houses.

8. Fabryka Maszyn Lubaczów Sp. z o.o. (The Lubaczów Machine Factory, Ltd)
The main subject of the Company’s business activity is production and rendering services for its business partners, including: hydrokinetic torque converters for construction equipment (wheeled loaders, piping layers, track-laying bulldozers), brake system pumps for Ł-34, 534 loaders manufactured by LIUGONG; spare parts for construction equipment; machining services (turning, drilling, boring, punching, bending, cutting, milling, piercing, welding). A strategic product of FM Lubaczów Sp. z o.o. are power hydraulics subassemblies, including a series of hydrokinetic torque converters for construction equipment. Moreover, the firm offers parts and subassemblies for various machines used in the construction industry. At the same time the company, based on its extensive machinery plant, renders services in scope of machining, plastic forming, and welding. 9. Zakład Produkcyjno-Handlowy Krzysztof Bryś (Production-and-Sales Plant Krzysztof Bryś)
ZPH Krzysztof Bryś Company was established in 1981 in Skarżysko-Kamienna as a family company. Today it is metal and cast iron mechanical processing plant, managed by one of the shareholders. Our consistent activity in order to improve the stock of machine tools has enabled us to survive in the metal processing market during hard years of economy transformation. At the moment our speciality is cast iron parts machining using turning lathes, grinders, millers and multiple-spindle drilling machines. Our company supplies our customers with following services: turning, milling, grinding, multiple-spindle drilling, roll-threading.
Our metalworking plant machinery covers:

10. Instytut Wdrożeń I Technologii Sp. z o.o. (The Institute for Implementation and Technology, Ltd)
Instytut Wdrożeń i Technologii Sp. z o.o. is aluminium foundry located in Starachowice (Świętokrzyskie province) producing aluminium castings in sand mould and chill mould. The Company makes also pattern equipment and offers additional services like: mechanical working on CNC-machining centres, heat treatment, sand blasting and aluminium-castings’ surface treatment (anodizing, phosphatizing, chromate treatment, painting: powder painting and wet paiting). Additional, on customer’s request, the Company can provide leak tests of aluminium parts and – as a subcontracing – liquid-penetrant inspection and X-ray examination. To design the aluminium castings we use following technologies: CAD/CAM/CNC, Pro/ENGINEER, Unigraphics NX and Edgecam. The aluminium foundry was established in 1999 and their statutory activities are based on potential and intellectual resources gained in the Company ODLEWNIE POLSKIE SA. Our Company implemented ISO 9001:2000 certificate provided on 4. October 2005, confirming implementation and application of quality management system within the scope of design and manufacturing of pattern equipment and castings’ producing and treatment. One of most important Company’s tasks is to implement the new technologies: the Company has experience in production cost minimization (example: replacing of rolled profiles aluminium parts’ treatment’s with cast parts’ treatment). We have customers abroad and to our new clients we can quote within few working days and confirm the Just-In-Time delivery terms of aluminium parts.

11. Fabryka Armatur JAFAR S.A. (The JAFAR, PLC Fittings Factory)
JAFAR Fittings Factory is located in the south-eastern part of Poland. The enterprise has been established in 1953 under the name Terenowe Zakłady Metalowe (Local Metal Works). The factory was technologically updated and modernized on current basis. The history of its business is related to the castings and non-ferrous metal products industry. Manufacturing was carried out in two plants located in Skołyszyn and Przysieki. In 1993, in order to take over the formerly state-owned enterprise, factory employees have bought out the shares of the privatized business and the firm had started its activity anew as a joint-stock company. Fabryka Armatur JAFAR specializes in production of cast iron fittings for water, gas, and sewage systems, manufacturing at the same time bathroom and household plumbing fixtures. High quality of products and continuous implementation of new engineering solutions allowed the company to reach and retain a leading position on the domestic market. JAFAR has gained also recognition among foreign customers. Currently, about 50 percent of the production volume is exported to 30 countries. The most important foreign markets include Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain and Egypt. Since 1999, the company has in place ISO 9001 Quality Management System. 12. Zakład Produkcyjno-Handlowo-Usługowy MODELARNIA “Model Holding” Kamila Makowska (The MODELARNIA “Model Holding” Production-Sales-and-Service Plant, Kamila Makowska)
Z.P.H.U - MODELARNIA “Model Holding” Kamila Makowska Company is located in Ulanów (Podkarpackie/ Lower Carpathians province). Model Holding is „vigorous” developing Company from the pattern-making & foundry industry branch. Our speciality is manufacturing of the patterns for foundry industry – for cast iron, cast steel, as well aluminium-alloys parts. „Modell Holding” performs also different woodworks and the high quality of patterns prepared has been based on long-term experience.
